Ritz-Carlton bids Bob Fischer farewell

IN an expression thanks on behalf of The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, Jamaica, General Manager Doug Brooks hosted an elaborate send-off party for Bob Fischer, the former executive vice president of Rollins, Jamaica. He served the organisation for 30 years. Some 150 guests attended the party which was held on October 5, at the resort's ballroom terrace.

Mr. Fischer played an integral role in the development of the new 428-room luxury resort and spent five years working on the project. His most recent assignment was to assist in the development and oversee the construction of prestigious property and the White Witch Golf Course during the resort's critical construction stage.

"I can think of no individual who was more instrumental than Bob Fischer, in making Mr. Rollins' dream of The Ritz Carlton in Jamaica a reality," said Mr. Brooks. "His continuous support, hard-work and tireless commitment will never be forgotten and I have come to value Bob as a consummate professional and close personal friend. Set along a dazzling stretch of beach on Jamaica's north coast, The Ritz-Carlton Rose Hall, combines old world appeal with an inviting sense of Caribbean charm. Offering the seclusion of a beach-front hideaway, the 428-room resort opened August 25. Business and leisure travellers will appreciate 16,745 square feet of meeting and function space, the 18-hole championship golf course designed by Robert Von Hagge and Rick Baril, full-service Spa and tennis centre, and the nearby Half Moon Bay shopping centre.
