Greed and crime

THE EDITOR, Madam:

THE articles in your paper titled Fat Cat Scandal and Trini Miracle are tied together by one string and that string is greed. Jamaicans are greedy, they always live beyond their means.

Because we live over our heads this contributes to crime and crime in Jamaica is not confined to the poor. The collapse of our financial institutions was not just a monetary phenomenon, but also a cultural thing.

Each Jamaican needs to take a look in the mirror and find out what they can do to change the situation in the country. We have to decide what kind of environment we want our kids to grow up in.
