How emancipated are we?

VENICE, 16:

"To tell the truth, slavery is not finished in Jamaica. For the youngsters, it has just begun. Let's hope we survive."

DHAIMA, 21:

"No, I don't think we are free because most of us Jamaicans are still shackled mentally."

TANYA, 17:

"Well, I do not think we are really free. The government says we are free, but we are not. The promises they make, they do not fulfil."

RACQUEL, 20:

"We are not really free from slavery. But, where the economy is concerned, we are better than where we started in 1962."

DUDLEY, 18:

"Yes, we are free. Some things that slaves would be subjected to, like whipping, we do not have to deal with anymore."
