WALDERSTON, Manchester:
SCORES OF persons attended the opening and dedication of the new headquarters of the Pentecostal Church of God in Jamaica on Sunday at Mizpah, Manchester.
The new building, on the compound of the Caribbean Pentecostal College, was completed at a cost of $5 million, according to principal of the college and Island Superintendent, the Rev. Lloyd Wilkinson.
Guest speaker was Rev. Ronald Minor of Missouri, USA, who spoke of a "fresh wind" for the church which meant a revival of the holy spirit because although a new building is fine, without a renewal of the holy spirit, it is meaningless.
Member of Parliament for North East Manchester, Audley Shaw, lauded the church's effort in launching a basic school and spoke of the importance of early childhood education. He also deplored the low moral standards in the society and pointed to the role that the church should play to correct the situation.

Samuels - Presbyter Kingston and St. Andrew. A brief history of the organisation was given by Rev. D. Thomas.
