International Coaches for Jamaica Central Health and Wellness Expo

Rosie 'Peppy' Parke of Fitness by PEPS in Washington, D.C., will share her techniques with persons attending the JAMCEN Health and Wellness Expo in Mandeville on Saturday and Sunday, March 28 and 29, starting at 10 a.m. each day. It will be held on the grounds of the Southern Regional Health Authority, 3 Brumalia Road, Mandeville, Manchester.

Parke is a Bally-certified instructor and personal trainer who teaches Boot Camp at Bally Total Fitness and Gold's gyms in the United States of America. She will be demonstrating yoga and Pilates alongside Jamaican fitness instructor Lipton Lee on both days of the expo.

'Healthy, Happy and Whole'

Dr Sharon M. Cadiz, workplace wellness coach from the United States, will address the topic 'Healthy, Happy and Whole: Practical Stress Management for Home and Workplace'.

The public is invited to come out and benefit from these free sessions, along with seminars on backyard gardening, exercise for stroke recoverees; cooking 'green' to prevent cancer; juicing your vegetables and weight loss.

There will be free health checks for blood pressure; discounted pap smears and mammograms; half price ECG tests and fitness tests. Each day will feature seminars on workplace wellness, coping with job loss; diabetes and complications; the importance of colon therapy and coping with Alzheimer's.
