HAMILTON, Bermuda (CMC):
Patrick White has been consecrated as the island's second Bermuda-born Anglican bishop, following the retirement last year of Ewen Ratteray.
White was consecrated at the Cathedral in a two-hour ceremony on Sunday led by the Archbishop of Canterbury's personal representative, the Rt Rev John Llewellin.
White, 65, said later he wants the church to team up with charities to help people in need, as the global economic crisis hits the island.
