Leaders August Town will today host fifth-place Constant Spring at the University of the West Indies (UWI), in one of six Claro KSAFA Super League matches, all starting at 3 p.m.

August Town, who have title ambitions given the fact that only the league's winners will get a chance of advancing to the premier league, will be seeking to return to winning ways after dropping their first points this season in their last outing.

On the other hand Constant Spring, who have won three matches and lost twice in five games, will seek to close the leadership gap. August Town have won five and drawn once in six encounters.

"It's going to be a very good match. Last week when we dropped two points to Santos it served us well as a wake up call and since then the team has been putting in some good sessions this week," said Calvert Fitzgerald, coach of August Town.

Back to the big times

Fitzgerald, who has coached a number of premier league clubs is hoping to steer the club back to the big times after relegation last season.

He also said Constant Spring are worthy opponents and his team would have be on the ball.

"I think they are one of the better teams in the Super League, so we definitely have to bring our "A" game," he said.

Meanwhile, Danny Lyn, who is the coach of Constant Spring, said they are looking forward to the clash with high expectations.

"It's the first time in a long time that the Super League has been so competitive. We are playing well and have been improving with each game and come tomorrow, we are looking for a very good performance," Lyn said.

He added: "Last week we lost due to inexperience on the part of one of our defenders and it is something we want to rebound from. We are only four points off August Town and if we win tomorrow we will be one point behind them, so that is the hope and intention," Lyn explained.

Sharpen their skills

In other key match-ups, high-riding Duhaney Park will seek to sharpen their skills when they travel to Jamaica College to face Liguanea United, while fourth-place Bull Bay will host mid-table Police National at Bull Pen.

Elsewhere, joint second place team, the Jamaica Defence Force, whose Robert White and August Town's Nicholas McCreath share the scorer's lead with six goals each, will play away to second-from-bottom Mountain View at Molynes, Cavalier, who share second place with the JDF, will entertain Real Mona at Constant Spring, while third-from-bottom Maverley/Hughenden will be at home to mid-table Santos.
