Kensington maintain hot streak in Senior Cup

Kensington maintained their 100 per cent win record after last weekend's third round of Senior Cup matches.

In an impressive performance, Kensington demolished the previously unbeaten St Catherine parish team by an innings and 35 runs. Kensington's victory was built around a fine 152 from young left-hander Rashid Outar and a nine-wicket haul from Kingston College (KC) schoolboy, leg-spinner Akeem Dewar.

Final scores: St Catherine 192 (Dwayne Crosgill 43, Nkrumah Bonner 37, Kirk Harris 41 not out; Akeem Dewar 4-45, Dennis Bulli 2-46, David Bernard Jr. 2-27, Jermaine Cole 2-24) and 107 (Dwayne Crosgill 22; Akeem Dewar 5-44, David Bernard Jr. 2-11, Dennis Bulli 2-14). Kensington 334-8 declared (Rashid Outar 152, Horace Miller 92, David Bernard Jr. 52; Erron Downer 3-80, Marlon Hoilette 2-62, Dwayne Crossgill 2-15).

In Zone A action, Police returned to winning ways with a seven-wicket victory over lowly St. James. Hanover held on to the runner-up spot despite an abandoned fixture with St Mary due to rain, at St Mary Sports Club, as third-placed St Ann received a bye.

At G.C. Foster College: Clarendon beat G.C. Foster College by 10 wickets.

At Folly Oval: Portland thrashed Boys' Town by an innings and 60 runs.

Scores: Boys' Town 39 (Desmond Williams 20; Omar Clarke 4-22, Christopher Hall 5-8) and 23 (Crafton Clarke 6-2, Gary Thompson 2-2).

Portland 122-4 declared (Oliver Walker 52 not out, Damion Gray 25; Phillip Keating 3-30).

At Maxfield Park: St Thomas beat Kingston and St Andrew by 150 runs.

Scores: St Thomas 185 (Roy McFarlane 61, Warren Edwards 53; Renar Ross 5-36, Kimahanie Morison 3-87) and 269-5 declared (O'neil Wright 107 not out; Kemar Scott 66; Kimahanie Morrison 3-87).
