Concerned about 'yard'
published: Tuesday | April 22, 2008

The Editor, Sir:

You are entitled to your opinion about "Mr Mugabe's undemocratic conduct and Zimbabweans".

However, Jamaicans at home and abroad are much more concerned with the failure of "democracy in Jamaica" to protect the law-abiding and their families and to create a safe environment where Jamaicans abroad can return to and invest their savings, contributing to growth and development.

Look at yourself first

How does the print and electronic media in Jamaica which has the highest murder rate in the world, purport to lecture some other country on 'democracy', while citizens in our own Jamaica are being murdered daily by criminals while you remain 'silent'?

As the saying goes: "Look a yard before yu look abroad!"

I am, etc.,

Concerned Jamaican.
