Grenadians could know election date soon
published: Tuesday | April 22, 2008

ST GEORGE'S, Grenada (CMC):

Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell has announced he will reveal the date for the general election at the next major public meeting of his ruling New National Party (NNP).

But Mitchell, addressing a youth rally in the northern parish of St Patrick's on Sunday night, gave no indication when that event would take place.

"I am holding something next to my heart. So register now because the next time the New National Party calls you to a meeting of this nature, it would be the announcement of the new election date," Mitchell told supporters at the rally that also featured various regional and international artistes, including Jamaican dancehall star, Beenie man and Trinidadian soca artistes Bunji Garlin, Fayon Lyons and Maximus Dan.
