Dr Jean Audrey Dixon, permanent secretary in the ministry of energy, was among 20 persons sworn in recently as justices of the peace for the parish of St Andrew.
Football coach and businessman Lebert Halliman, who is one of five technical advisers to Professor René Simoes, the Jamaica Football Federation's technical director, was also among the inductees.
Halliman is also the coach of Excelsior High School.
Custos of St Andrew, the Rev Carmen Stewart, reminded the new justices of the peace to get involved in community activities so that they could become known and also get to know residents of the community.
