The exciting three-year-old category of horses will benefit from new sponsorship at Caymanas Park on Saturday, April 19 when the Anbell Group unveils its ePhone raceday. Plans for the meet were outlined by representatives of Anbell and the promoters, Caymanas Track Limited (CTL) at Tuesday's press launch in the boardroom of Caymanas Park.

The sponsorship will feature two races for native bred three-year-olds, both offering purses of $600,000. These are the inaugural running of the ePhone To The World Trophy principal feature over 1820 metres (non winners of two) and the ePhone Keep The Link Trophy over 1400 metres for maidens.

Hefty donation

The Anbell Group has donated $100,000 to the purses of both races.

Noting that ePhone represents the latest enhancement of Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) technology, the company's general manager, Sandra Bodden-Reid said the sponsorship "marks the beginning of an exciting partnership between Anbell and Caymanas Track...

"Throughout the day there will be spot prizes and giveaways sponsored by Anbell for lucky horse racing fans at the track, in addition to two feature races.

Alliance

"Forming this alliance with Caymanas will enable Anbell to aggressively promote our newest voice over Internet service, ePhone, to the varied demography of Caymanas fans and also promote our unlimited calling package which allows our customers to talk without watching the clock for as low as US$24.99 per month".

Also speaking was Andrew Pairman, CEO of the Anbell Group. He said his company's partnership with "a recognised and respected powerhouse such as Caymanas, is directly in line with our goal of seamlessly merging entertainment, business development and technology".

Among those present were Walford Brown, CEO of Caymanas Track Limited; Millicent Lynch, executive manager for marketing at CTL; Veronica Warmington, a director of CTL, as well as Garfield Bolt, Anbell's ISP manager; Judith Lim, mobile services manager and CTL's racing secretary Denzil Miller Jr, who provided raceday details.
