Governor General Sir Kenneth Hall, in reading the proclamation to declare Special Libraries Week open at King's House, stressed yesterday that 'e-literacy' is of utmost importance in this technological age.
Point of concern
The week of activities will run from Sunday, April 13, through to Saturday, April 19, under the theme, 'E-Literacy: Managing, Pro-tecting and Enhancing Access in a Digital World'.
Claudia Sutherland, chair-person for the special libraries section, speaking on behalf of the group, said, "It is our belief that, similar to literacy, e-literacy should become a point of concern and should be addressed immediately. The Special Libraries has been cele-brating Special Libraries Week for more than two decades."
