Browne to lead young WI against Sri Lanka

GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC):

BARBADOS WICKETKEEPER/ batsman Patrick Browne will captain a young West Indies Select team against the touring Sri Lankans in a three-day warm up match at the Guyana National Stadium at Providence from tomorrow.

Browne, who has nine fifties in 46 first-class matches for Barbados, was selected as Denesh Ramdin's 'back up' during the recent one-day international (ODI) series in South Africa and played as a batsman in the last three ODIs, scoring an unbeaten 49 in the fifth ODI batting at No. 3.
