University of the West Indies (UWI) west campus accepting applicants

Students from western Jamaica now have the option of studying near their hometown as the University of the West Indies (UWI) has begun accepting applications for its Western Jamaica Campus (WJC), which is to open in Montego Bay this August.

According to an advertisement in The Sunday Gleaner, at the WJC students will have an opportunity to engage in Student Enrichment and Community Development programmes, resulting in balanced individuals who excel in educational and extra-curricular activities.

The WJC will also offer student amenities, including limited residential accommodation, a computer laboratory, multi-purpose playing court and food concessions.

The campus is easily accessible and is situated on the newly deve-loped North Coast Highway into Montego Bay, and is two minutes from the Sangster International Airport.

B.Sc. Management Studies (General)

B.Sc. Management Studies (Accounting)

B.Sc. Management Information Systems (MIS)

B.Sc. Banking and Finance

B.Sc. Hospitality and Tourism (available part-time to persons with an A.Sc. specialising in Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism Management).

B.Sc. Tourism Management (available part-time to persons with A.Sc. specialising in Tourism Management.

B.A. Media and Communications (Public Relations).
