Why some people will not serve
published: Wednesday | November 28, 2007

The Editor, Sir:

Since removing myself from the political hustings, I have tried to keep a low profile and focus on putting my life and finances back on track. It has been difficult, however, to not be concerned and alarmed at the current attempts at denigrating and trying to bring down a man who has served this country with distinction for over 40 years.

I speak of the latest attack on the record and integrity of Ambassador Seymour Mullings. No one can question the contribution of this gentleman and a gentle man he is, to our country.

It is this kind to attack on persons who serve, why the majority of Jamaicans will not offer themselves for service and why those of us who do are thought to be fools.

I am, etc.,

ALOUN NDOMBET-

ASSAMBA, JP

Attorney-at-law
