In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Seaboard Jamaica gave its full support to the mission of the Jamaica Cancer Society by participating in its fund-raising activities, the most recent of which was a 5k run on October 27, which was held at the National Stadium.

"The 5k run hit a personal note with Seaboard. We saw this as an excellent opportunity for our staff to break the mechanical routine and get involved with an important and worthy cause," said Anna Hamilton, director of sales and marketing. "It was motivating for us to be able to offer our support in lifestyle issues such as health and sports."

Jamaica Reach to Recovery disseminates information to the public about the importance of early detection of cancer. The organisation also assists affected persons with medical treatment and coping with the disease.
