Bird delays Australia and India
published: Tuesday | October 16, 2007

NAGPUR, India (Reuters):

An Indian domestic flight carrying Australian and Indian international cricketers was forced to make a "precautionary landing" yesterday after the plane was hit by a bird, airline officials said.

The Jet Airways plane bound for Mumbai took off from the central city of Nagpur but was forced to return 10 minutes into the flight.

Australia is touring India for a One-Day International series.

Jet Airways officials said the passengers would fly to Mumbai on a replacement aircraft.
