Still in contention for a place in the second round, St. George's College will look to put considerable distance between themselves and third place Bridgeport, when the teams meet again today in the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA)/Pepsi/Digicel Manning Cup, at Winchester Park, St. George's.

In their previous encounter, defending champions Bridgeport managed to slip away with a 1-0 victory.

It's a tight race to see which two teams will advance from the very competitive Group D, led by St. George's with 16 points, followed by Norman Manley, which moved up to second place with 14 points and Bridgeport close behind in third on 13 points.

Goals the decider

Depending on the outcome of the matches played today, goals may well decide the teams that advance from the very competitive group as only two teams are guaranteed automatic qualification from each group.

Over in Group A, Jamaica College and Waterford share the lead with 13 points, while Tivoli have moved into third place with 12 points. St. Jago on 10 points will have to double their efforts today in order to remain in contention and move into the second round.

In Group C, Wolmer's and Calabar are neck and neck with the latter on 20 points, one point ahead of Wolmer's, who will look to shore up their spot and chances of moving on when they play Kingston Technical today.

At 3: 30 p.m. Group E leaders Charlie Smith will also be in action when they play Greater Portmore. Second place Camperdown will battle Pembroke Hall and Denham Town will travel to Ascot in the group's other games.
