This black Nissan Bluebird motor car blew its rear tyres yesterday, got out of control and crashed along the Old Harbour leg of Highway 2000, yesterday. The crash claimed the life of one man.

ONE MAN died yesterday as a result of motor vehicle injuries sustained along the Old Harbour leg of Highway 2000.

The man, Henry Miller, of Waltham Lane in Kingston 13, was pronounced dead at the Spanish Town Hospital just after midday. He was a passenger in a black Nissan Bluebird motor car which crashed along the highway.

According to police reports, Miller was in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, which was heading towards Clarendon.

Rear tyres blew out

The car's rear tyres blew out, causing the driver to lose control. The car hit a sign post and later careened into the rails along the highway.

The victims were assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital by the Old Harbour police.

Miller was pronounced dead and the others, including a young girl, admitted in stable but serious conditions.

Last month, six persons were killed in a motor vehicle crash on the same roadway. The victims were returning from a funeral in Clarendon.
