The Editor, Sir:
I write regarding the official apology given by Bishop C.B. Peter Morgan, of City Life Ministries to the public on behalf of the local prophetic community with respect to the outcome of the general elections. I would like to point out to Bishop Morgan and Dr. Phinn that there is no need for apology and seeking of forgiveness and in this regard I refer them to Jonah.
In a nutshell, the Lord sent Jonah to Ninneveh to warn that ungodly city that they would be destroyed. After surviving a violent storm at sea and being swallowed and vomited out by a big fish he eventually went to Nineveh as instructed and prophesied that the city would be destroyed.
The people prayed and God seeing how repentant they were had compassion on them and saved the city from the destruction; but this embarrassed Jonah.
Dr. Phinn prophesied a victory for the PNP, God in his wisdom changed his mind at the 11th hour and the rest is history. So in my view, Bishop Morgan and Dr. Phinn, there is no need for embarrassment. God can change his mind.
I am, etc.,
