GEORGETOWN, Guyana (CMC):
A three day conference aimed at identifying "an agenda for growth and livelihoods" will be held in Guyana in October.
The Government Information Agency (GINA) said the October 15-17 conference comes ahead of the Commonwealth Finance Ministers meeting (CFMM) to be held here.
It is being organised by the Commonwealth Foundation in collaboration with the Guyana-based group, Women Across Differences (WAD). It has as its theme "Climate Change and Poverty Reduction".
GINA said the meeting would help "identify consensual Commonwealth civil society priorities, issues and recommendations on developing an agenda for growth and livelihoods for presentation.
