Monsignor Richard Albert is pictured here in Peter Ferguson's book, 'Changemakers'. - Photo by Peter FergusonMonsignor Richard Albert has spent the last 30 years defending and uplifting the poor in Jamaica.
Many a 'lost soul' can look to Monsignor Albert as the reason they were able to fight off the tentacles of crime and violence in depressed areas and do those things which brand themgood Jamaican citizens.
One of the major pilots of the poor's uplifting movement has come in the form of the St. Patrick's Foundation, a skills-training and educational organisation for the poor, which Monsignor Albert founded, and which has sparked the fires of change in no uncertain terms.
Monsignor Albert's most notable ideology submits that education is the way for depressed people to achieve their highest potential. That thinking has spread over the last 30 years and thus Monsignor Albert is this week's changemaker.
