Lion Heart Track Club's Wainard Talbert and Manchester High's Natoya Goule extended their unbeaten streak in the 2006 Foska Oats/Jamdammers Grand Prix Series with victories in Sunday's Ministry of Health 5K.
In the race which started and ended at Emancipation Park in New Kingston, Talbert crossed the finish line in 16 minutes
and 13 seconds, while Goule achieved her victory in 19 minutes and 05 seconds.
The University of Technology's Andre Drummond improved to second with an impressive 16:21 seconds, while Bellefield schoolboy Kemoy Campbell dropped to fifth in 16:40 seconds.
The Jamaica Defence Force's Phillip Edwards was third in 16:34; Conroy Crossman of Edwin Allen surprised with a fourth-place finish in 16:37, while Damion Bent of G.C. Foster College rounded off the top six in 16:44 seconds.
On the female side, Tanice Barnett of the University of West Indies finished second in 19:18 seconds, Teneisha Davis stepped up in the big three with 19:51 seconds for third, Tamica Thomas of G.C. Foster College was fourth in 19:59, 14-year-old Chante Roberts of Edwin Allen improved to fifth in 20:14, and Petrone Layne of Vere finished sixth in 20:29 seconds.
Jamaica's Commonwealth Games representatives Andrew Gutzmore of Ebony Track Club (17:48) and Areita Martin of G.C. Foster (20:39) finished 19th and eighth in their respective sections.

Men's: Sheldon Haye of Glengoffe (Under-14 - 19:14); Crossman (Under-19); Talbert (Under-29); Edwards (Under-39); Linton McKenzie (Under-49 - 17:23); Anthony Harris of Mandingo (Under-59 - 20:02); Carlton Boothe (60+ - 23:30).
