CHAMPAGNE TOASTS to The Most Hon. Edward and Carla Seaga, who on Wednesday of this week celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary with a rather intimate little do at home in beautiful St. Andrew. It was all about love and dedication!

It was fabulously intimate and elegant, but more anon!

Then, my daahlings, while the Seagas were celebrating their 10th anniversary, the fab Capt. Mike Lyn and wife Thalia jetted off to Florida, to their children and grand-kids last week, to mark their 39th wedding anniversary, and how!

My dears, it was all about the family for the former airline pilot and his oh sooo charming wife, social empress/businesswoman extraordinaire. They opted to make it a small and intimate family occasion, but wait for the 40th as this promises to be one faultless premier smasheroni, and then some!

My daahlings, destination Jamaica is still the venue of choice among the fabulous classes of the world as they are all jetting in for their share of the island in the sun, and how!

SIX-FIGURE JOB

Now, y'all know that popular American television series The Apprentice, conceptualised by billionaire real estate developer Donald Trump. Contestants compete to secure the ultimate prize - a six-figure job with the Trump organisation.

Well, my daahlings, last season's winner, Randall Pinkett and his lovely wife, Zahara Wadud-Pinkett, jetted into the island over last week for a few days of rest and relaxation in fabulous Negril, and my dears, the buzz is the couple absolutely fell in love with the leisure capital of the world, as Negril was cooking!

And talk about being qualified! Well honeys, the affable Randall Pinkett, who is a native of Philadelphia but was brought up in High Town, New Jersey, holds five academic degrees in engineering, business and technology, including a bachelor of science from Rutgers University, a master's from Oxford, in England as a Rhodes Scholar, plus two other master's degrees and a doctorate from MIT.

It was during his studies at Oxford, however, that his fascination with Jamaica started, as while there he became friends with Dr. Nigel Clarke, and so he had many Jamaicans rooting for him during his appearance on The Apprentice!

Also in Jamaica last week was former Canadian High Commissioner to Kingston, the charming Mrs. Kathryn Hewlett-Jobes. The former High Commissioner who was Canada's first citizen here between 1994-96, and who is currently on assignment with the Inter-American Development Bank, as senior regional adviser for the Caribbean, spent all of last week discussing investment opportunities with potential Jamaican partners. She was spotted at dinner last Thursday at Norma's On The Terrace at the historic Devon House, with the fabulously lovely wife of the current Canadian High Commissioner, Claudio Valle, Mrs. Louise Valle.

My dears, with Mrs. Hewlett-Jobes back in the region, and as a committed friend of Jamaica, it only augurs well for future cooperation.

Then, my daahlings, with Delta Airlines now adding Jamaica to its international roster, the oh so ultra-fab Hedonism III resort near Salem, Runway Bay, is all set to spearhead new areas of cooperation with the airline in a bid to increase available seating capacity for travellers wishing to vacation at the world famous resort.

And honeys, expect some red-hot summer promotions to come this year as the always bubbling resort is all set to unveil its new international marketing and promotional strategies, and sweet-things, it promises to be all that!

And dears, we do mean all that, as indeed, it promises to be one fabulous campaign and then some. Pumpkins the hip new slogan emerging from SuperClubs for their summer campaign is These Beds Weren't Made For Sleeping!

Honeys, simply fab as it's all about Hedonism III, this summer. The resort is all set to unveil a whole slew of activities to add to the entertainment and enjoyment appeal of its many guests, so wait for it.
