Feasting, merriment at 'royal' wedding

GUESTS ATTENDING last Saturday's wedding of 'Princess' Kimisha Williams and 'Prince' Garth Walker will remember the theme for a long time to come.

For the ceremony at Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, the couple selected deep red rose buds in arrangements at the altar and on individual pews. The cream-coloured carpet was also strewn with red rose petals.

Ushers clad in Elizabethan inspired costumes came close but could not eclipse the bridesmaids who chose champagne coloured gowns. Their coifs as well as the bride's were masterminded by veteran cosmetologist/stylist Melody Aarons.

The party departed the church for a lavish reception at the Mona Visitors' Lodge in two immaculately-decorated Benzes and two Range Rovers.

Page boys and flower girls were picture perfect and the groom and his men as dapper as they could be.

Ace events stylist Michelle Lee's artistry was once again on show and from fruit-laden, conversation-inducing centrepieces, to huge ottomans strewn with more deep red throws, and giant Japanese lanterns above, the setting was magical.

The cake by Nicole Shirley was dramatic for its simplicity and sophistication. This was festooned with three dozen (you guessed it) red roses.

And at the end of a beautiful evening, the newlyweds led their family and friends in dancing the night away.
