SPANISH TOWN, St. Catherine:
KEVIN 'RAY' Nation, a 29-year-old race horse groom of Lime Tree Grove, Spanish Town, was found dead about 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, after residents reportedly heard explosions and later found his body in a pool of blood.
According to the Spanish Town police, Nation suffered wounds to the head, back and chest. Scores of residents converged on the crime scene to view the body, which partially covered a bicycle he was riding when he was shot. A bag containing foodstuff was also seen nearby.
Earlier in the day, a 23-year-old woman of Dallas Lane, also in Spanish Town, was shot several times. She has been hospitalised in serious condition. The Spanish Town police have not given a motive for either incident.
