THE EDITOR, Sir:
THE PTA of Edwin Allen High School salutes the children of Jamaica. We are cognisant that amid the flood of woes being undeservingly dumped upon our children, that there are those who are determined to do their best. God bless you continually.
However, special applause goes to the children (young men and women) of Edwin Allen High School who seize every moment to plaster the media with their superb performances. In case Jamaica does not know, they are doing well at Edwin Allen High School academically too.
It is opportune time to call on our nation's parents, especially mothers, to further embrace their children and to help them to grow up gracefully and to assist in their decision-making and aspirations.
Jamaican parents are the best. We know how to be tough and follow through to the very end. Let us, therefore, bind our efforts together to save our children and give them their glorified positions. Jamaica knows too many criminals, extortionists, murderers, rapists and dons. Parents, come on, if we have lost the battle, we do not have to lose the war!
I am, etc.,
JEAN PENNANT
