EOJ reverification process extended until tomorrow
published: Friday | May 12, 2006

THE ELECTORAL Office of Jamaica (EOJ) has extended the reverification process for persons who failed to meet the March 31 deadline until tomorrow.

The special hearings, which began on Monday, were scheduled to end on Wednesday but in an effort to get all voters on the May 31 list, the EOJ has extended the process.

In a newspaper advertisement, published yesterday, the EOJ urged voters who received a notice in the mail, to visit their constituency offices and prove that they still reside in that area. Failure to do so, the EOJ said, will result in their names being removed from the voters' list.

Persons are asked to take proof of residence with them when visiting the offices.
