PRAISES AND adoration were poured out to the Lord on Saturday night as Dianna Wright launched her gospel album, Blessings and Honour at Hope Gospel Assembly, Old Hope Road, St. Andrew.
This album, with all tracks written by Wright, is her second singing album after two poetry albums. This album, she hopes, will cause people, "To acknowledge that God is, and that we can do nothing outside of Christ."
With this in mind, she says the album is for the times, to reach all audiences.
"It's mostly contemporary or what I call roots reggae gospel. Basically it is written to not only interest Christian persons but persons from any religious background. The lyrics are soft, not what you would call churchy-churchy," Wright told The Gleaner.
NIGHT WATCHMAN
After starting the launch with soul-stirring praise and worship, the night watchman, Leon Nash of Love FM took his emceeing position.
The Jamaica Urban Transit Company choir was the first to rock the house. Performing I'd Rather and All Hail King Jesus, the group ministered, preparing the audience for an exciting evening. Among the other performers were God's Vessel, Patrick Coombs, Floyd Robinson and 2004 Jamaica Cultural Development Commission gospel winner, Lubert Levy.
