Farmers were advised on the various ways of wealth creation and money management by representatives from the Ex-Im Bank, Life of Jamaica (LOJ), Jamaica Money Market Brokers (JMMB), Jamaica Heritage Trust, Jamaica Agricultural Society (JAS) and Excel Insurance Brokers. They were also informed on the benefits of owning health insurance.
VALUABLE INFORMATION
Conread Scott, an avocado and citrus farmer for 16 years in Mocho, expressed appreciation for the session, which he said, disseminated valuable information to the farmers on wealth creation and money management. However, he said this type of session should be taken to more remote sections of the island so that those farmers can understand the importance of money management.
Kemesha Thompson, the youngest farmer in attendance, said that the session was informative and enlightening. The 22-year-old horticulturist is a recent graduate of the Ebony Park HEART Academy.
