Wray & Nephew in high spirits
published: Wednesday | November 30, 2005

Claudine Housen, Staff Reporter

WESTERN BUREAU:

WRAY AND Nephew Limited has gained sole distribution rights for Moet Hennessey spirits in Jamaica.

The announcement was made in Montego Bay last week when Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin champagne was re-introduced under the J. Wray and Nephew brand.

Noting that the addition of Veuve Clicquot was symbolic of the consolidation of the Moet Hennessey spirits line under J. Wray and Nephew, president of Moet Hennessey, Davide Marcovitch, said that the move was a part of a larger thrust to create a better relationship among the different Moet Hennessey brands. The Moet Hennessey spirit line is a part of the larger Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) group.

Managing director for the J. Wray & Nephew Group, W. A. 'Billy' McConnell said he was pleased to have the Moet Hennessy line consolidated in its portfolio.

"We are now able to satisfy every taste in this end of the market," Mr. McConnell said.

Veuve Clicquot joins brands Dom Perignon, Krug, Moet and Chandon, Belvedere and Hennessey under the J. Wray & Nephew portfolio.
