Air Jamaica's annoying delays
published: Sunday | June 26, 2005
The Editor, Sir:
I am aware that I could help Air Jamaica get out of debt but I
cannot afford the time to spend in the airport waiting for hours for outgoing and incoming flights, so I am left with no other option but to travel via other carriers e.g. American Airlines or US Airways, because they get out and in on time.
For Air Jamaica to better serve the travelling public, they have to commit themselves to have the planes arrive and depart on time and I would have no problem to travel on our Love Bird.
I have not travelled on Air Jamaica for about ten years and I am in Jamaica every other year or every year. If you think about the number of Jamaicans who no longer travel via Air Jamaica ,their number one problem is reliability. Those who have
travelled for the first time on Air Jamaica have expressed their willingness to travel again via the Love Bird, for their hospitality surpasses every other airline that travels to and from Jamaica and other Caribbean islands.
Please get your ducks in order. Have the Love Bird flying on time and a lot of us will be back.
I am, etc.,
