The United Kingdom will raise its fees for visas, passports and chargeable consular services on July 1.
The U.K.'s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) said it was making the raises to recover the full costs of providing the services domestically and overseas. Fees were last reviewed in 2002.
VISA PRICE LIST
Six-month visas: £50 (up from £36).
Long-term visas for stays of over six months: £85 (including student visas, work permit holders and working holiday makers).
Settlement visas will remain at £260.
Fees for long-term validity visit visas will be reduced to £85 from £150 for a 10-year visa and £88 for a five-year visa.

SERVICES
Birth registration: £64.50 (up from £55).
Death registration: £64.50 (up from £55).
Administering an oath: £53 (up from £45).
Supplying witnesses: £14 (up from £12).
LEGALISATION FEES
Documentation legalisation: £19 (up from £12).
PASSPORTS
Adult 32 page:
£69 (up from £56.50).
Adult 48 page: £82 (up from £67.70).
Child: £45 (up from £36.50).
Emergency: £43.50 (up from £35.50).
Amendments:£57 (up from £46.90).
Temporary: £55 (up from £45.60).
A new fee will be introduced to cover the costs of issuing biometrics passports due to be implemented at overseas posts from December 2005.
