PRIME MINISTER P.J. Patterson has offered state help to the family of the murdered children in St. Mary and condemned the act as the 'highest form of brutality'.In a statement to the press yesterday, Prime Minister Patterson said, "I am instructing a multi-sectoral team comprising persons from the ministry of health and the ministry of social security to visit the family and offer practical and meaningful support to them."
He pointed out that the murders of 13-year-old Sue-Ann, Dwayne Davidson, 15, and four-year-old Shanice Williams in Killancholly, St. Mary is a stark reminder, that there are those in our midst who have resorted to the highest level of brutality. It is a tragedy of unspeakable proportion.
"This is not an isolated incident and follows on what is becoming a trend of vicious attacks against our nation's children. I warn again that no country can tolerate this level of violence that is being perpetrated against its people, including our women and the elderly."
