What's all this fuss about?
published: Saturday | October 9, 2004

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I WOULD like to know what is all this fuss about the young lady who won the Miss Jamaica World title last week. All of a sudden it seems as if the entire island was against her winning. If this is the case then why did she receive so many votes in the poll from the wider public.

I agree that she may not be the prettiest Miss Jamaica in history. However the judges saw it differently and the entire island needs to get behind her. Besides Tonoya is clearly the most intelligent girl in the competition by far. Let us all pray for her and support her because she is representing Jamaica.

I am, etc.,
