published: Friday | May 28, 2004

SENIOR DETECTIVES at the CIB Headquarters in Kingston have given instructions for the country's most notorious fugitive, Joel Andem, to be charged in connection with the abduction/murder of Kingston businesswoman, Sylvia Edwards.

She was abducted and killed in July 2000. Three men have already been convicted in connection with this case.

Officials at the CIB Headquarters are also meeting with various investigators in other cases involving Andem. The 40-year-old fugitive was arrested Wednesday morning during a joint police/military operation in Clarksonville, St. Ann.
