Positive situations

THE EDITOR, Sir:
WE HEAR so many criticisms of our fellow Jamaicans these days, that I feel compelled to bring two very positive situations to the attention of your readership.
This past week it has been my pleasure and joy, under very difficult circumstances, to use the private ambulance services of a company called AmbuCare for my husband on four consecutive days. On each of these occasions words are inadequate to describe the professionalism, high standard of training, promptness of service, courtesy, sympathy, care and attention we received from four different crews. When added to the comfort and condition of the well-equipped ambulances themselves, the service we received made for stress-free transportation each time.
Having said this, and having been permitted to accompany my husband, I was able to observe at firsthand the amazing discipline, courtesy and response of the motoring public of Kingston to the wail of the ambulance siren. To be quite honest, I had not expected this; so, to all those anonymous taxi drivers, truck drivers, bus drivers and private motorists who stopped, pulled over, let us through at a red light or otherwise accommodated us, please accept our grateful thanks and congratulations. Your kindness has been truly noticed and appreciated.
I am, etc.,
