KAREN CLARKE, managing director of An Elegant Affair, will stage the third annual Evening of Elegance in the grand ballroom of the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston on February 7.
Part of the proceeds of this year's event will go to the Jamaica Diabetes Foundation.
Mrs. Clarke told The Sunday Gleaner that this year's theme is "Fun and Whimsical" and as patrons have come to expect, the entertainment package will be exciting and filled with the surprises they will enjoy.
It begins with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner and the show from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. The night usually closes with dancing from then onwards.
Among this year's performers are an Italian singer who is currently doing a Broadway production, and African American illusionist, Eric Anderson, who has had the distinction of performing for former United States President Jimmy Carter.
Illusionists have become a staple at this annual event as the performers usually leave the audience baffled. Who can forget when, two years ago, realtor Valerie Levy's valuable diamond ring disappeared before everyone's eyes? Thankfully, it reappeared.
