My water bill needs explaning
published: Friday | November 21, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I RECEIVED a water bill which reads:

Water $ 3,765.42

Sewerage $ 3.765.42

PAM $ 4,043.69

Service Charge $ 101.65

---------- $11,672.37

I would like to know what is the relationship between the water that is used to the sewerage, why do I have to pay the same amount for sewage as water used, also what is PAM?

How can an ordinary working person pay a monthly bill like that? Don't you think these charges are unbearable.

I would like the Water Commission to answer, why do we have to pay the same for sewage as for the amount of water used? What is PAM to the extent of $4,043.69?

I am, etc.,
