KINGSTON, Jamaica:

THE P&O Princess Line has committed two of its biggest ships to visit Jamaica as of 2004, Minister of State in the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, Dr. Wykeham McNeil, has said that

Dr. McNeil was speaking at a recent welcome reception onboard the Coral Princess, when it visited Jamaica, in preparation for scheduled calls. Princess Cruise Line along with Grace Shipping, the local agents, sponsored the reception.

He informed of meetings, which had been held with officials of the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), along with Tourism Minister, Aloun N'dombet Assamba and William Tatham of the Port Authority of Jamaica, and in which the FCCA expressed its satisfaction with the changes that had taken place at the Ocho Rios Pier over the last few months.

"The satisfaction of the FCCA is in keeping with the plans we have put in place to attract additional cruise passengers to Jamaica, as we look towards achieving a record of over one million visitors this year,' Dr. McNeil said.
