Miss Annie come
published: Sunday | January 5, 2003

THE EDITOR, Sir:

'MISS ANNIE' come. Yes, Miss Annie Palmer of Rose Hall has relocated her Great House and plantation to the Little Theatre on Tom Redcam Avenue. It is very convenient to visit her. If you drive or are driven, you just step out of the vehicle and step up in the theatre and feel safe.

The opening evening of the Pantomime was very good. From my vantage point, the theatre appeared to be comfortably full. 'Miss Annie' should be seen by every man, woman and child, especially if the man and woman may be planning to get married and if the child is a little curious and likes to look under or into. It is good for management, middle management and trade unions can find good hunting ground.

In general, 'Miss Annie' brings to life a part of our own history which is good for us to recall. The setting is beautiful and realistic and the singing and dancing is of the usual high standard of our talented Jamaican artistes. You will laugh your bellyful for, as we say in Jamaica, "dem tek bad someting mek laugh".

I am, etc.,

ELSIE SAYLE
