THE EDITOR, Sir:
ON BEHALF of the Marcus Garvey Technical High School and our guidance committee in particular, I am using this medium to convey our heartfelt and profound gratitude to Mrs. Lindsay Isaacs, Newton Grey, Henry Gordon and Nurse Joyce Nicholson of Sandals Dunn's River Golf Resort & Spa for their participation in one way or another, in our school's inaugural Boys' Day innovation.
The resounding success the day turned out to be was due in no small way to their most invaluable contributions.
Their presence at the day's proceedings, speaks in volume of their concern, as expressed by us in our letters of invitation, about what is happening to our boys. We therefore, greatly appreciate your identification with our attempt to arrest the slide that is overly evident.
Let us hope this first venture has bonded us to any future attempt we may make at realising our ambition of making the desired impact, in the lives of these youngsters who are the future of our nation.
