Cable & Wireless Jamaica has added another 12 new cell sites to the company's network during the past two weeks.
Eight of the new sites have been installed in rural parishes and these 12 bring to 20 the number of new cell sites installed in the last three months.
The new cell sites in the Kingston Metropolitan Area are:
Belmont Road, which will increase network capacity and quality in the new Kingston area.
Liguanea, which will provide additional capacity in Liguanea and sections of Barbican and Mona.
Pembroke Hall, which will increase capacity in Pembroke Hall, Meadowbrook Estates and Sections of Patrick Gardens.
Victoria Avenue, which will provide added network capacity in sections of Eastern Kingston, including Lower South Camp Road, Windward Road and Victoria Avenue.
In the rural parishes, the new cell sites are:
Ewarton (St. Catherine), which will provide improve service on the highway between Linstead and Ewarton and in surrounding areas.
Twickenham Park (St. Catherine), which will provide added capacity in Eastern Spanish Town (Twickenham), the Spanish Town bypass and Lakes Pen.
Lionel Town (Clarendon), which will improve capacity and coverage in Lionel Town and surrounding areas including Rocky Point and Portland Cottage.
Hayes (Clarendon), which will improve service in Hayes. New Bowens and sections of the May Pen bypass.
St. Ann's Bay (St. Ann), which will improve coverage in St. Ann's Bay, Drax Hall, Windsor Heights and surrounding areas.
Claremont (St. Ann), which will provide coverage in Claremont, Green Park, Rural Retreat, sections of Golden Grove and surrounding areas.
Brown's Town (St. Ann), which will provide im-proved service in Brown's Town and surrounding areas.
Junction (St. Elizabeth), which will provide coverage in Junction, Bull Savannah, Ballard's Valley, Top Hill, Alligator Pond, Watson's Hill, Down's, Nain and surrounding areas.
