Editorial - Tony Blair comes calling
British Prime Minister Tony Blair's 10-hour visit may be too short for a lasting impact. But we are sure that he is well aware of several aspects of Jamaica's impact on the Commonwealth and the world in many guises, good and bad.

A unity of God and Mammon
Contributor Dawn Ritch writes: "With crisis comes opportunity, from chaos comes the chance to reorder. The recent massacre in Jamaica - not just West Kingston, western Kingston, or Kingston - has opened up the possibility of effecting real change."

Smoking, teaching and praying
Contributor Hartley Neita reminisces: "I smoked my first cigarette over 40 years ago. A friend, who subsequently became a doctor, gave me the first one."

The Prime Minister cometh

British Prime Minister Tony Blair will arrive in Jamaica for a 10 1/2-hour visit during the course of a three-nation tour to the region...But really, why should so much fuss be made for Tony Blair?
