THE EDITOR, Sir:
PLEASE EXPLAIN to me why the government has allowed all manner of gambling in Jamaica, but still refuses to allow casinos.
What it suggests to me is that this government is unwilling to do the right thing and open up the island to a money making venture, because they are afraid of the churches.
I would like to point out to the people that the Bahamas, Antigua, St Martin and other islands have churches.
They have been able to work out their differences, we
must do the same for the good of everyone. Casinos will
maximise Jamaica as a major tourist destination.
I am etc.,
