I am searching for... Carmen Ellis

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I AM searching for someone special. I know only a few details, and hope the good people of the island will be able to help me.

In 1974, a young lady named Carmen Ellis left Jamaica to go to Canada. She stayed there with family and returned a year later to her home. It was while she was in Canada that she gave birth to a beautiful girl she named Tishanna.

Due to circumstances beyond her control, Carmen had to give up her little girl. Tishanna was born on March 20, 1975. This little girl is now a woman, she hasn't let a day pass without thinking of Carmen. The reason I have written this letter is that Tishanna is now looking to find family members. Not to disrupt their lives but to find out what became of her mother.

Is she working in the government? Is she married? Is she back in Canada?

Just so that she can put a close to this chapter in her life, if the readers of this paper can help in anyway, we would appreciate it greatly. Please contact Tishanna at the address below.

I am etc.,
