Editorial - The demise of Times Store
Times Store had proven up to now to be a very durable institution. It had been able to survive two World Wars, the Great Depression in the United States...several hurricanes and other disasters, man-made and natural.

Contributor Dawn Ritch writes: "People often ask me if I don't fear for my life. And the truth is I sometimes do. Just to recall one occasion makes my hand shake."

Sex, like cricket, is also a Sunday sport
Hartley Neita reminisces: "The only sound heard on Sundays in the village of my youth years was the pealing of the church bell announcing the start of Matins at mid-morning and before Vespers in the early evening."

Contributor Ian Boyne writes: "The death and spectacular funeral of the reputed don William "Willie Haggart" Moore has deepened a national sore and has raised a number of issues yet unresolved. But a few things are clear."
