GO-LOCAL Jamaica is now in the West. Today marks the launch of www.Go-Montegobay.com. It's the newest community website to go live.
The site, though hosted under the name Montego Bay really covers local news and happenings from all over St. James. It's a chance for you to find out what's happening in the local communities. If you're sitting at home with nothing to do, why not catch up on the local news, find out what's happening in the community "next door" or say your piece on the discussion board. Business and personality profiles as well as educational highlights are other areas featured and you never know what information might turn up on the family page.
www.Montegobay.com is interactive and fun. An easy to use web calendar, allows you to directly upload information about upcoming events and happenings in your neck of the woods. Be sure to check out the "Fun and games" and E-greetings on the interactive page.
"The information age is upon us and the Internet is quickly becoming an accepted communication tool the world over. A whole lot of positive things are happening in our local communities and what better way to get the word out than to have community web sites operating as reference points for these various communities," says Content Editor, Lisa Nicely.
Go-Montegobay is the third in the series of Go-Local-Jamaica web sites to be launched. Web sites for Kingston and Portmore were launched earlier this year. To follow, are sites for Mandeville and Ocho Rios.
"The participation of local residents will be integral to the sustenance of the web sites as no one else knows what's happening in the communities better than the people who live there", the Content Editor added.
