DARE WE say kick ass? Slamming? Bashy?
Well, however you choose to put it, the new year is a great time to shape up, shake down, and just do it.
In other words, time to tune up your attitude.
Let's face it, this year like any previous year there'll be successes, tears and ho hum moments. Some of you will get distinctions, move on to university or get your first taste of high school. Others may not do so well and surely, more than a few of you will get dumped. But hey, this is life. Stuff happens. How you face the bad times and good ones depends on the kind of attitude you choose to cultivate.
We've also changed our attitude. We got to thinking about your needs and here's the deal: Throughout the year we'll have a host of hot new features including tips on how to spend your money wisely; how to get that 'A' next time around; an advice column; and supplements from the Jamaica Teacher's Association (JTA).
For the fashion conscious we'll be here with advice and displays of models wearing clothes for that ball, graduation or just a night out.
Entertainment? The latest on your favourite stars will be right at your fingertips. And look out for our regular writers like Stephanie Wynter who shares her thoughts in Dear Diary, and Archibald Gordon, 'The Cynic' who takes a satirical look at every day things we take for granted.
Tell us what grabs you -- join our writers' circle, submit your poems, talk to us.
But, no matter what you do, make 2001 the year you take some brave new steps. Just do it!
